Flyers vs Bruins in Fenway Park Winter Classic

The Flyers-Bruins match at Fenway is apparently a done deal with an announcement due any day by the league. The league initially wanted Washington, but the network supposedly shot down the idea thinking the ratings would be better with the Flyers. No offense to the Flyers, but having the best player in the world (Ovechkin) in an event like this would have been a smarter marketing decision. If ratings were the driver, then why not have the Bruins play their biggest rival - Montreal? Me thinks Mr. Snyder is working hard behind the scenes here. If you're thinking of getting tickets, buy them at TicketBoston.com now!

Bastille NightStorm the Bastille or Storm Boylston St…

Bastille NightStorm the Bastille or Storm Boylston St…

Life hasn’t changed much since 1789, the French Monarchy have been dethroned and the outraged common class wants to party! The middle class is taking over France…or should we say Boylston Street for a night of French celebration! Dress like a Frenchman and sport the colors of Pabst Blue Ribbon…blue, white, and red! At 9 pm Tuesday night the bar will be overthrown by Sel de la Terre’s Chef’s fully armed with Pommes Frites taking over tables and attacking you at full speed.

So come prepared to fight back and consume them at no cost! Put aside your pitchforks and grab a drink instead. $3 Tall Boy PBRs await you or go crazy with $5 Storm the Bastille cocktail (ginger beer, brandy, and Chambord) that can cut off any edge, after a few your senses will be heightened and you can handle any foolish aristocrat! If you still don’t feel liberated head over to the French Quarter grab a bar menu and start ordering some delicacies, but make sure to have a drink in hand. If too many drinks cause memory loss, the film Les Miserable will remind you of where you are and why you are celebrating, just stare at the screen. July 14th, 9pm to close, downstairs bar, Viva la France!
